This tour will start early in the morning. Our first stop will be at Calderon located at 32 km north of Quito. This small pueblo is unique for its artisans who make figurines of bread, and you will have a chance to visit their workshops and buy some of their extraordinary handcrafts. Our next stop will be at Cayambe, an area noted for its abundant production of dairy products, and flower plantations, as well as its incomparable biscuits and string cheese. We will try to taste them all! Upon arrival to Otavalo we will visit the colourful market where dozens of Indian communities come down to offer their woollen weavings of clothing and tapestries. Lunch will be served in a colonial hacienda nearby the town.

DAY 01: After an early breakfast we will depart to Calderon, 32 km north of Quito. In this little town figurines are made of bread, baked, painted and preserved. Upon arrival in Otavalo we will visit the colourful market where dozens of Indian communities come down to offer their woollen weavings of clothing and tapestries. After lunch, we will go to see the amazing waterfall of Peguche and be guest at a typical Indian house. Overnight at a local hacienda.

DAY 02: We will visit the Ecologic Cotachachi-Cayapas Reserve, the highlight of which is its spectacular Crater Lake. We will explore some of its many and picturesque trails. Finally, we will visit Cotacachi, west of Otavalo, where leather goods are made. Return to Quito.
